My Journey

For almost 30 years, I have helped youth and young adults explore academic and extracurricular options, recognize their potential, and plan for their futures. I have focused on supporting students from diverse backgrounds and guiding families through the educational planning process.

As an independent consultant, I work solely in the student’s best interest, free from any affiliations with schools, colleges, test prep companies, or placement services. While globally connected to educational professionals, I do not accept referral fees and strictly follow the NACAC and IECA Principles of Best Practices.

My Experience

My Perspective

Working in private and public schools — from a private high school to an inner-city, first-generation public school, to a suburban public district while directing a community tutoring program, with additional homeschool, neurodiverse and international student experiences — has reinforced my belief that education is never one-size-fits-all.

The Difference

Patricia Nehme has over 20 years of experience in educational advising and holds professional memberships in AICEP, IECA, NACAC, International ACAC, and TACAC. She was one of the first Certified Educational Planners in the Austin area---a distinction she has successfully achieved every 5 years since 2014.

Patricia works directly with every student, never outsourcing them to others. Her personalized, hands-on approach ensures that each aspect of the admission and application process reflects the student’s strengths and presents a cohesive, thoughtfully crafted application—never a fragmented or piecemeal effort.

Patricia offers extensive expertise not only within the local and national college landscape but also in international admissions, particularly in the United Kingdom and Canada.

As a former high school Director of Academic and College Counseling, Patricia stays current on high school curricula and trends. She brings a deep understanding of how colleges/degree programs evaluate students in the context of their academic environments, including homeschool and non-traditional educational paths.

Patricia is committed to prompt communication and transparency throughout the process, ensuring parents are fully informed and engaged at every stage of her services.

My CAmpus VIsits

One of the distinguishing features of educational consultants, particularly IECA members, is that they visit numerous campuses. Click the button below to see the colleges I've visited in the U.S. and internationally.
